PROVIDING SAFE AND AFFORDABLE LIVING FOR OLDER VICTORIANS SINCE 1869.

Abound Communities is one of the oldest not-for-profit organisations in Australia. It was formed in 1869 by a group of prominent Melburnians wanting to provide older Victorians with somewhere secure and affordable to live, support if they needed it, and a community in which they felt engaged.

The association’s first village was located in Rushall Park, North Fitzroy after the Government of Victoria gifted an acreage of land. These historic cottages continue to provide affordable housing to older Victorians.

Today, Abound Communities is a leading not-for-profit provider offering a continuum of care from independent living, assisted living , Home Care and residential aged care. Our four villages - including Berwick, Euroa, North Fitzroy and St Helena – house over 500 older Victorians.

Our mission is to advocate and provide affordable, safe and dignified independent homes for older Victorians within a village environment, and to offer appropriate and practicable extended care when it is required. We are a diverse and inclusive employer.

Abound Communities is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission and donations over $2 are fully tax-deductible.
