Braeside Park: Celebrate 150 Years with Jazz, Games and much more

Saturday October 12 2019

1pm – 3.30pm

19 Clyde Road, Berwick, 3806

Starting with a traditional smoking ceremony, formalities and the burial of a time capsule, Braeside Park’s celebration to mark 150 years of the Old Colonists’ Association of Victoria is packed with good old fashioned fun. The Astor Swing Band, a six-piece jazz band, will provide colour and music as you make up your mind what to do first.

Will it be taking a traditional afternoon tea of scones and the trimming? Or making sure you buy a freshly made cake, pick up home-made jams and marmalades, or a plant which has been propagated by our resident green thumbs?

There will be house and garden tours – you must make sure to check out the edible garden, and you might even spot the resident ghost.

Afternoon scones will be served in the community dining room, a history exhibition will take people down memory lane, take the chance to play board games and catch up with old and make new friends.

Make sure you pick up a plant which has been carefully propagated by our resident green thumbs.

Three house and garden tours are being offered during the afternoon. These are open for ten people a tour. Bookings are open NOW.

House tours are free but essential: Numbers are capped to 10 per tour: https://www.trybooking.com/BEROG

Please bring your tickets with you.

No parking is available on-site.
