Work is well under way for the scheduled opening of the second stage of Leith Park’s apartment homes in September.

The 19 new apartments include three two-bedroom and 16 one-bedroom apartments, all of which are spacious, airy and perfect for people ready to downsize and want a ready-made community around them. Every apartment has a balcony with an enviable view of Leith Park’s communal gardens.

“We look forward to welcoming new residents into the architecturally designed apartments and introducing them to the vibrant community that is Leith Park,” Tim Scott, OCAV’s Chief Operating Officer, said.

“We are just starting to introduce the apartments to potential residents, and the interest level is high,” Tim said.

Each apartment is built to dementia and age friendly guidelines – a commitment made by OCAV which is a Victorian Government Age Friendly Community and is working towards being accredited as a dementia-friendly community.

“We are well aware of the increasing wish of residents to age-in-home which is why Leith Park is such an ideal community as we offer a range of support services including the delivery of meals, a daily well-being check and access to health care providers, such as a podiatrist,” Tim said.

The environment is another major design element in the apartments which enjoy a six-star energy rating.

“While we will do everything to ensure people can stay in their apartment for as long as possible, residents will also have access to our aged care facility, Liscombe House which is in the village,” Tim said.
