Congratulations to Pauline Walters, the Apartments Supervisor at Currie Park in Euroa, whose excellent work and compassionate care of residents was recognised at the Regional Achievement & Community Awards on October 14 2016.

Pauline was one of three people who made it through to the grand final of the Community Service in Aged Care Award category. Her family, Currie Park residents and OCAV staff were there to support her at the award ceremony at the Docklands.

The grand final winner was Tracey Hooke of Kilmore, who is a lifestyle Coordinator at Caladenia Residential care. Like Pauline, Tracey has committed a lot of time and energy to her residents.

The award evening was all about acknowledging the fine work that so many rural Victorians do for their communities. Pauline’s contribution to OCAV’s Currie Park village began in 1998 and has continued to the point where she epitomises the care, love and compassion that OCAV is renowned for.

Whether it’s a shopping trip, special event or emergency call in the middle of the night, Pauline is always ready to lend a caring and compassionate hand to her residents.

It was a proud moment for all those connected with OCAV and Pauline to see her great commitment recognised.

Congratulations Pauline!
