Rushall Park hosts Garden Party of the Year!

February 20, 2019

Rushall Park

1pm – 4pm

20 Rushall Crescent, Fitzroy North, 3068

This is THE Garden Party to remember for 2019 where the past will meet the present and future.

You never know who you will meet – our founder George Coppin, well-known actor of the day Eloise Juno, and a few other characters will be ready to welcome you to an afternoon of theatre, music, gardens and tours of the cottages.

Renowned Australian singer Margret RoadKnight will perform as will residents from dramatic backgrounds.

Follow your eyes to discover a scarecrow lurking somewhere; keep your ears open for down-on-his-luck Billy Barlow who ventured to Sydney to seek fortune only to return to England. Enjoy the sound of the Northcote High School’s jazz and strings ensembles, and watch out for acapella group Songbird.

Explore the gardens and find stunning art boxes created by residents, exhibition garden boxes which tell the history of gardening through the ages, as well as travel from 1869 to today through our history exhibition.

Inquiries should go to: enquiries@ocav.com.au

Admission to the Garden Party is free but bookings are essential.

"There is nothing I would change that would make my life any better. I have two loving sons and family and I thank God every day that OCAV took me in when I had nothing," said Jill Dale, Braeside Park resident.
