Abound Communities (Abound Communities) has initiated Conversations for Change as our contribution to thought leadership about ageing in Victoria.

In June 2018, our second Conversations For Change was Let’s Retire Retirement. The keynote speaker was Dr Kay Patterson AO, Australia’s Age Discrimination Commissioner with resident Irene Renzenbrink providing her perspective on the importance of retiring retirement.

The role of new technologies in the age friendly community of 2030 was a contribution from Dr Raelene Wilding, an academic and researcher at La Trobe University. Her research has included exploring the ways in which migrants in Australia use communication technologies and visits to care for their elderly parents in the home country.
